George Thomas works as a sustainability consultant with small to mid sized businesses in the Seattle area. His current focus is on creating efficiency with production facilities for the wine, beer, spirits and cannabis industry. With a background in commercial photography, e-commerce and the wine industry, George recently earned a Masters Degree in Environmental Management and Sustainability from Harvard University. Within his studies, George developed a risk assessment process to enhance sustainability aspects of wineries and vineyards.
George promotes the concept of creating an organizational mindset focused on sustainable business operations that involves managing current financial, social and environmental concerns in a manner to ensure ongoing operations that are profitable, ethical and responsible. His services range from creating a sustainability strategy to energy efficiency and the use of solar energy to both fulfill and supplement a business energy needs. A consummate “dirt guy” George can be found most evenings and weekends tending his Pinot Noir hobby vineyard in Redmond, Washington.
